Now time for the easiest part of Tim's job: The Cuts

Drunk on power and half a case of Zima, Rangers manager Tim Brannon made the first cuts in the storied history of the Chicago Rangers franchise.

Pitcher Matt “Swaggletooth” Swary and outfielder Michael J. “Heart Attack” LaRocco III were given their outright release after making statements regarding a total disregard for any attempt to learn the signs, a move seen as insubordination by Brannon.

Swary took the first whack at Brannon’s autonomous dictatorship when he sarcastically asked why Brannon changes the signs every week, although the signs have remained the same since 2003.

He also jokingly suggested he gets a special wristband with the plays listed as a sort of reminder. LaRocco took the slighting a step further by insulting Brannon’s grammatically abhorrent plea for fundamental baseball by asking “Whats a sing?”, intentionally misspelling “sign.”

According to General Manager/VP of Operations/Director of Player Personnel Lucas Luecke, LaRocco and Swary will receive a $12 buyout if they clear waivers. He also said the franchise is considering retiring the players’ respective jersey numbers.
