Two New Actors To Appear In Rangers Movie

Rumor has it that two big name actors are to appear in the film adaptation of the 2009 Chicago Rangers baseball season.

Hollywood veteran Jimmy Smits will be playing Gio's Bar owner and Ranger team sponsor Humberto Camacho. Jimmy is known for his portrayal of good men with deep moral convictions which should fit this role perfectly.

Joaquin Phoenix, has come out of retirement from acting and will put his rapping career on hold to appear as Ranger slugging first basemen, designated hitter, and aspiring musician Ryan Varney.
It is rumored that Joaquin will be lending his musical talents to the film, just as he did in Walk the Line. He was seen recently practicing on a bass guitar in order to properly portray the role of Ryan Varney, who plays the bass in his band Action Finger.
More to follow!

I'm rolling on the floor! Keepem' coming! It is rumored that the first single off of the movie soundtrack will be a duet featuring Joaquin Phoenix and Kevin James singing the Ranger original, "Normal Words" lyrics by Mike LaRocco.
